Decided on a whim to record a cold start the other day. This is the first car I’ve owned that doesn’t immediately make me want an aftermarket exhaust...
(apologies for the video/sound quality; it was recorded with an old Galaxy S4)

Is it angry with me? I feel like it’s angry with me.

New awesome car, but old phone. I say you have your priorities correct in this situation. Very nice.

Reminds me of the old C63 with the 6.2 Liter M156. Which is a very good thing. I loved having to move that into or around the showroom.

And this is my work phone; my personal phone is a 5+ year old HTC Evo 3D, hahaha. I really should get a new one...

On my 335xi it’s programmed to rev the shit out of cold starts to heat up the catalyst in the downpipe more quickly. I have a catless downpipe now, and some of the tunes out there let you delete the cold start revving, but I kinda like it for braapppp purposes.

Yeah, warm starts only rev to around 1250 before settling into a 700-800 RPM idle. The cold start blips to 1500-1600 before holding at ~1200 until the cats are warm.

I didn’t know that was for the cats. Learned something new. Thanks!

I’m at a point where I’ve grown to like my Mustang so much I’m eyeing these for a future depreciated replacement

Challenger 392 SRT cold starts are amazing as well.
